The Travelers are one of the fastest up-and-coming southern gospel music groups in the country today. They are currently working on their first project-album/cd together appropriately entitled, `The Travelers...Original`. Founder, song-writer, and lead singer, Evangelist Pat Quick has been writing gospel songs for many years and has put twelve of his very best songs together for the new album which should be released by summer 2009.Three of the songs on the album are offered on this Gospel Gigs web page [though not 100% finished]. He and his wife, Tracy, have been evangelizing from east to west coast, singing and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. For the past couple of years, Pat has been putting The Travelers together with his 27 year old son, Benjamin, who sings the powerful tenor part, and Jim [Big Chief] Loveday, whose rich baritone/bass voice make up the trio of singers. Benjamin has been singing with his dad in meetings since he was only 4 years old and Jim sang bass with Pat`s group, The Journeymen Quartet, in California some 29 years ago. Pat plays piano/keyboard and Benjamin plays guitar, bass guitar, and harmonica. They are joined by guitarist Marvin Hedgpath and drummer, Harold Blake. Recently, steel guitarist Ed Doty has joined the band. The aim of The Travelers is to lift up Jesus in the hearts and lives of people of all walks of life everywhere. Their unique annointing in singing southern gospel/country songs and sharing Jesus with the spoken Word is something that truly must be experienced. They are now booking for 2009-2010 and hope to see you soon. God bless you all!!
