Gentle Hearts Bio

Gentle Hearts Ministry- Country Gospel Music Duo founded in 1993 by Dan & Kathy Marsh, which in the past has included their son Brian McCarty, now a member of the Bluegrass Missourians. Charter Members of the Country Gospel Music Association.

Awards that Gentle Hearts have received are:

1996 ICGMA Higher Call Talent Search 3rd place Duo

Dan – Executive Vice President of the Country Gospel Music Association since 1999. Evangelist, singer and percussionist, started playing the drums at age of 15 and has performed at many venues with his mother, evangelist, singer, songwriter Bobbie Clifton.

Dan was saved at a very early age and has been following the Lord in ministry since then.   

Proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force and is a Vietnam Veteran.

Graduate of the Columbia School of Broadcasting, producing many radio programs.

1987-2005 Vice President and Board Member of the Mo Kan Gospel Music Association.

1993-2005 Manager & Sound Engineer for the Mo Kan Gospel Music Stage

Kathy- Raised in a Christian home but started following the ways of the world as a teen and young adult coming back to the Lord in 1986. Since 1987 Kathy has been a BMI Songwriter with many songs receiving radio airplay and the latest number one chart release of “Jesus I Love You” performed by Billy Hale, President of the Country Gospel Music Association. She has written several songs (gospel, country & bluegrass) other artist have recorded. In 1995 Kathy recorded her first studio project at Haage Studio in Branson; a solo CD “Never Too Late” since then Gentle Hearts has recorded 3 other CD’s titled, Crimson River, Family Tradition and In the Mist.
