I became a born again believer in 1979. Even before I was saved I had an interest in music. My family and I would visit the Isaac Park Homecoming in Louisa Ky every year. I remember groups like the Singing Cooks, The Spencers, the Harold Braham Family, and many others, performing. I mingled with the groups and admired their instruments, equipment and their singing abilities, and realized then that I wanted to be a part of
gospel music. I began playing guitar and began sinigng at
local churches and other community events. I traveled
throughout Kentucky, West
Virginia, Ohio, and Tennesee
with a group called Sounds of
Gospel. We were able to
minister for 9 years. After
that I joined up with a group
called 5 for the Gospel and
have been able to minister as
far away as California. I was
able to minister with them for
3 years regularly and still
minister with them
occassionally when the opportunity presents itself.
Currently I have been
ministering with The John
Thornsberry Trio as well as
ministering solo. I am
currently a member of The New
Life Gospel Music Association (formerly KYOVA).
