Don Richter was inspired by The Couriers, when, in the early 1970’s, they chose him to sing with them at a church camp.  In 1978, he and three friends formed The Gloryland Singers; the group ministered for two years.

After Don & Micki were married in 1981, Don began singing solo and speaking in local churches.  The couple began to sing as a duet in 1984, making regular appearances on their church’s television broadcast. Later, when Don’s sister, Janet Dellinger added her voice to theirs, the trio was delighted to find they had good harmony.

The Richters perform many concerts in area churches and participate in numerous gospel sings throughout the state. They have also been invited to sing in Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, and Tennessee.

It was a dream come true, especially for Don, when The Richters recorded their first CD, The Richters... Stepping Into the Water in July 2006.   And, since they have gotten their feet wet in the world of gospel music ministry, they rejoice as God opens doors to their ministry.  Their second recording project, Our Old Favorites, Volume I was released in June 2008.  A third project, Justified & Satisfied, released in April 2011 and was recorded with Daywind Studios in Nashville.  They released their fourth project, Realm of Grace in May 2014.

The trio’s prayer is, “Lord, gird us with gladness so we may praise you and not be silent when the world needs to hear you through our voices.”   The Richters’ concerts include traditional, as well as, country and southern gospel.
