Southland, a name synonymous with southern gospel groups of old, today represents a new generation of southern gospel artists. This new group brings youth, excitement, energy and flexibility that is unmatched for this area. The vision of the founder was not to create just a quartet or trio but to create something outside the box with unmatched versatility. His vision for this group guarantees they will transcend the days of the great quartets of the 1950’s and create outstanding harmonies with a rich smooth blend that is unique for the 21st century.The makeup and adaptability of this group allows them to be able to entertain as any of the following types of groups: · Male Southern Gospel Quartet or Trio · Mixed Contemporary Christian Quintet · Praise and Worship Group Today, there are few groups, if any, diverse enough to perform in all of the ombinations above and or be given the opportunity to use their talents for the glory of the Lord. The members are: Manager and Bass Vocalist, Greg Aplin; Lead Vocalist, Landon Morgan; Alto Vocalist, Deborah Hooks; Booking Manager and Baritone Vocalist, Elton Aplin; and Baritone Vocalist, Nathan Bagwell. Known collectively as Southland Vocal Band, the members of this group are all blessed with versatility at every position and saved by the grace of all mighty God. Southland was formed in March 2009 and from their very first practice have picked up steam and never looked back. Their passion for Southern Gospel music as an outward and sincere form of praise is evident in every service or concert. These individuals truly live to sing the songs of Zion and when you hear them, you will too.
