Both Ken and Gail Gates, Indianapolis, IN, come from a background strong with gospel and evangelistic music from their very early years. Their families all sang and instilled a love for the music that they now sing – songs that stir the heart and are full of a message that changes lives. Gail grew up in New Castle, IN, in the home of the music director at her home church. As a teenager, she felt God’s call to pursue a singing ministry; singing all her life has been a joy, but her ministry really grew after release of her first CD five years ago. She has soloed with Andrew Phipps’ Gospel Concert Series with artists The Browders, Primitive Quartet, The Inspirations, and many more. Her rich alto voice gives a warmth to her solo work, but her joy in Jesus shines through as she relates His message both in singing and in personal interaction with concert attendees. Ken hails from Evansville, IN, and started singing parts in a family trio when he was eight years old. Upon graduation from high school, Ken attended Olivet Nazarene College (now University), Kankakee, IL, studying Church Music and Choral Conducting. It was there God called him into ministry, first in music and then, later, in preaching as well. The thrust of both aspects is to present Biblical truth in such a clear way that souls are drawn to a commitment to a vital relationship with Christ and holy living. Oct. 29, 2011, marked a special day for this ministry – God joined not only two lives in marriage but two ministries into one! It is Ken and Gail’s joy to share with people around the world the message of God’s love and overwhelming grace!
