The Eddie Reynolds Trio

Eddie Reynolds from Wilmington, NC formerly of Naomi and The Segos, Jonathan Billings, from Wilmington, NC, and Josh Harris from Chesapeake, Va. make up the Eddie Reynolds Trio from Wilmington, NC. The trio has appeared in over 19 US States, Haiti and Jamaica.  The group was invited to the US Pentagon in 2006 and recorded a live concert in the court yard.  Invite them to your church or event, they like telling the story of Jesus and seeing people’s lives changed because of what Christ did on the cross.

The founder of the group Eddie Reynolds started his career in Southern Gospel Music at the age of 14 with Kevin Covington, Tony Reynolds and Joey Gore, all of the young men were from Wilmington, NC and no one could drive yet so our parents provided transportation of personnel and equipment until Eddie got his license in 1976. The group recorded their first album in 1976 in Columbia, SC at Rally Ranch Recording Studios. The group continued to gain popularity by appearing regularly on local television WECT Channel 6, on the Willie B. Lewis Gospel Hour and the Tommie Thompson Insurance Program, and on WWAY for the March of Dimes Telethons and receiving invitations to open for major gospel artists of the day such as Jerry and the Singing Goff’s, The Cathedrals, Wendy Bagwell and the Sun Liters, The Sego Brothers and Naomi, Ed O’Neal and The Dixie Melody Boys, The English Family of Wallace (Mike English’s Family Group), plus many more.

Eddie continued his music ministry and was nominated soloist of the year and album of the year in 1991 by Music City News in Nashville, Tennessee. This nominated album “What a Sacrifice” was produced by two of his friends that were present members of the prestigious Cathedral Quartet at the time, Roger Bennett and Danny Funderburk.  Later a second solo album “All Together Better” produced by Eddie Crook of Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Today Eddie and his wife Angela own a successful business in Wilmington, NC and he presently serves as the President of the NC Southern Gospel Music Association and as the newly installed president of Emmanuel Baptist University founded by his father Dr. Bill Reynolds.

The Eddie Reynolds Trio, professional musicians that like what they do and it shows.  They place God and their family first in their lives and they love spreading the word in song and seeing people change their lives. Your church or event would be well served if you invite this group to perform in concert and present the Gospel. Josh Harris is a dynamic baritone singer and one of the best vocalists in southern gospel music today, Jonathan Billings is another great vocalist and is full steam ahead on the lead part, and Eddie Reynolds is just a smooth old time tenor singer. "The harmony is wonderful and it`s by far the best group I`ve had the pleasure of singing with and I’m looking forward to our association in the ministry for many years", says Eddie.  Please call us and book us for your next homecoming.
