Being familiar with southern gospel and quartet music, and the son of a preacher, Stephen Jenkins is a church pianist and multi-talented instrumentalist who began experimenting with home recording back in 1995. He has been inspired to write over 20-something gospel songs and has performed in churches along side local southern gospel quartets. He plays piano, clarinet, trombone, saxophone, piano, and upright bass.
As of 2016, Stephen is currently working on a degree in music and has created traditional arrangements of southern gospel tunes for horn line. Using southern gospel soundtracks, Stephen has a particular nack for turning an old style gospel convention song, or any gospel song for that matter, into a happy and fun all out swinging sensation.
