The Singing Firefighter

I’m a Capt. for the City of Brownsville Fire Dept. We are located in West Tennessee and are about 65 miles east of Memphis. I got the name The Singing Firefighter back a few years ago when I sang in a group called Four His Glory. I was always introduced as the singing fireman.
When the group dissolved and I went back out as a soloist the title kind of stuck and there you have the rest of the story. I have been singing since I was big enough to stand and hold a song book. I have always loved Southern Gospel music.
My wife Nancy and I formed this ministry in order to bring hope to the disheartened and courage to the defeated. We believe that there are too many Christians today living defeated lives. We want them to be reminded of their first love Jesus Christ and again be bold and brave in their witness. The lost will always be our main goal and we will reach out to them wherever we go. God has gifted me with a voice that can sing to His praise and bring a message of hope in the songs I sing. Nancy is the prayer warrior of the ministry and she has a heart for seeing people saved, healed, and living the victorious life in Christ to their fullest potential. I believe that we as Christians are the Bible that the others read. We want them reading and seeing Jesus in us and in you.
We attend church at Love And Truth in Jackson, TN. We have been at many different churches throughout our lives. We have both taught Sunday school classes. I’ve been a worship leader and Nancy holds prayer meetings and bible studies in our home.
I have a daughter Brandie who is married to my son-in-law Matt Porch.
They brought my little grandson Walker into our lives Oct.2006. Walker is a true joy to our hearts. I can’t wait to get that boy singing for Jesus.
Nancy works for Delta Faucet in Jackson, TN. In our spare time, we love to fish and play with our dogs of which we have three - all labs. We are both outdoors people. We love to travel and fellowship with others and would love to come to your church or to your next benefit. Singing and talking about Jesus give us a great joy and we love to share with anyone who will listen.
