Hi! I am Leta Mowen, the promoter for our casual gospel dinner/theater in Kansas City, KS 66106 @ 3340 Woodend Ave. My husband, Rick; is the Director. Rev Sammy Sampson was the founder of this event 47 years ago and when she retired in the fall of 2008, she appointed us to be the director of the Glory Barn and our hearts desire is to continue this wonderful avenue of getting the gospel of Jesus Christ to others. It is our intent to make you aware of what we are and what goes on at the Glory Barn. First off, we our a casual dinner theater, offering to you a place to relax and enjoy gospel music. Our food stand is for purchasing some of our favorites, like our famous taco salad. This is a plate full of taco salad and not just a little bowl! It`s fresh and delicious. Frank, one of our cooks; makes the best burgers in town and you must try one. Our purpose? To bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone through the singing of our gospel groups, trios, soloist, bands, etc. We have brought in groups from way across the US and we give them a love offering. We let the Lord be the guide of how much you want to give. It is a fun time too. Bring your friends and sit around tables and enjoy chatting with your friends as well as the best gospel music you can hear anywhere. At the door, when we have our special out of town guest singers, we collect a $5 Donation, but will also accept more if you want to really let the singers know how much you appreciate their ministry. This collection goes to our scheduled guest singer(s) for the evening. This is God`s ministry and I know that you cannot outgive the Lord. Use this gift as a tax write off! Our band members are all volunteers and are not paid. This is a non-profit organization ran through the church, Faith Temple church in KC KS. We schedule two guest performances per month. Every third Sat. of the month is our Jam time for everyone to get involved. The Glory Barn is every Sat. night at 7pm - 9:30pm. 3340 Woodend Ave KC KS 66106 So....you `all come! Leta
