The Fishermen Quartet The Fishermen Quartet was organized in 1973 in Clyde, Ohio by two brothers and a friend, being Larry and Jim Kessler and Max Wright singing Southern Gospel music, and are still to the prisent time singing the same. We believe that this type of music has a message for the listener if he or she will hear it. Later on a bass singer was added to the group to make a full quartet. At one time they had a full band, being piano, bass guitar, drums, and lead guitar. They traveled like this for a number of years and like so many groups, one by one members left, Max staying the longest 23 years. The group kept going for a year or so and finally disbanded all together. Larry and Max sang in some other groups and finally not being fully satisfied, started The Fishermen back up again. We have now cut 4 CD`s and are in the process of cutting a new one. Ed O`Neal says it best,"all we ever wanted to do was sing a song."We sing at Church`s, aud., fairs, restaurant`s, nursing homes, and wherever we can spread the word in song.
