Formed in 2003, this anointed group consists of Pamela Scott Atcheson, Joey Saxton, Debbie and David Mitchell. Pam sings alto and writes most of the songs for Enlisted. Pam sang backup with Cristy Lane for several years and also worked in many different studios in Nashville recording demos for various song writers. As a young girl, she also sang fulltime with her dad, Joe Scott and The Gospel Travelers. Joey Saxton is Pam’s son. Joey has only been singing for six years, but it didn’t take long for people to notice that he is a natural talent and has singing in his blood. Joey quickly wins people over with his strong lead voice, enthusiasm and winning smile. Joey is also a talented song writer having penned, “When Jesus Passes By”. David & Debbie Mitchell, formerly of Mercy Road, Dallas, Georgia, joined Enlisted in January, 2009. After a series of events occurred among both groups, the members felt that God was leading them to merge the groups together. After much prayer and direction, David and Debbie made the decision to dissolve Mercy Road and join Enlisted. David and Debbie has truly been an asset to Enlisted with their strong awesome vocals. They have been accepted among Enlisted’s loyal followers with open arms. With Debbie singing soprano and David’s fourth harmony part, Enlisted has developed a sound has become one of the most full and unique sounds in the industry today. People that have followed Enlisted from the beginning have stated that the current sound is the best yet. But the greatest compliment that Enlisted could ever receive is when people say “the anointing is evident when you sing and Jesus Christ is truly glorified”. Enlisted’s prayer and mission is to witness and minister to as any people as possible and spread the Good News of Jesus Christ in song.
