Mark has been involved with music ministry for twenty-five years and has had the opportunity to sing alongside such groups as J.D. Sumner and the Stamps, The Kingsmen Quartet, The Talley Trio and others. He plays a variety of instruments and incorporates many of them into each service. Some of the instruments he plays are guitar, banjo, dobro, harmonica, and fiddle. He sings original material as well as the well known standards in several styles of music from Southern Gospel to Contemporary. Since traveling solo, and at times with his wife and daughter, he does utilize tracks. However, he understand the need to incorporate live instruments throughout the program, and does so. Debra Talley of The Talley Trio, states he has a "tremendous voice". He is an educator in Bedford, Indiana and has been working with children for twenty-five years. He is currently the principal at Parkview Intermediate School in Bedford, IN and his wife, Marta, teaches fourth grade at Shawswick Elementary. They have been married for thirty-three years and have two children, Jordan, a recent graduate of Wabash College and Morgan a junior at Bedford North Lawrence High School. When at home he attends Davis Memorial Church of the Nazarene in Bedford IN.
Mark`s Comments: Throughout my professional career, and personal life, I have come to understand that every person has the responsibility to lift others up. It was through the obedience to do Gods Will that others lifted and guided me in finding and accepting Jesus as my personal Savior. Each of us in our own way may be the only hope, joy, and love others may encounter. As Jesus demonstrated these attributes during His short time on earth, He has called us to do the same.
