In 1973 at a very young age, 5 years old to be exact, Denise traveled with her parents (Jerry and Mary Hopkins) along with her two brothers and sang gospel music. They were known as The Hopkins Family. For thirty years they sang at various churches. Whether it was a regular Saturday night singing, a revival, or one of those good ole` fashion homecomings. Singing was a ministry for her and her family. They had been given an opportunity by God to spread the Gospel that "Jesus Cares". In 1980 at age twelve, Denise surrendered her life to Jesus and was saved. This is when it became clear. She understood now WHO they were singing about and why! They were given this talent to witness God`s love in hopes that others would call upon His Name and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Later in life God blessed Denise with two sons. Her desire is to sing and witness to others. As a soloist, she will continue on with The Hopkins Family ministry.
